New Age Kurling

Who we are.

New Age Kurlers are people from the village and surrounding villages, male and female, and of all ages and abilities.  We have facilities for wheelchair users.

What we do.

Kurling is a bit like indoor bowls and a bit like curling on ice, we play on the floor of the village hall. ‘Stones’ are pushed onto a target, with the nearest stone to the centre being the winner.  We play individually, in teams of two and teams of four sometimes.

Why we do it

We are a friendly, sociable club and have found kurling has a great community spirit and is a way of making new friends.  We go to play friendly matches against other villages.  Members can play at any level, entering competitions all over the country if they want to take it further – even the World Championships.
