The Community Group

The Community Group was formed by a small, dedicated team of volunteers who had seen a need and opportunity to help promote the community spirit within our village. Since starting the fortnightly coffee mornings have grown enormously and are attended by both old and young people in the village Lively discussions and exchanges of ideas take place between all that attend. One such idea resulted in the popular Children’s Christmas Party which was provided at no charge for all children in the village under 11. It was a great success and the 70 to 80 children who came, enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment and food, all of which came from the proceeds of the coffee mornings. The group is willing and able to assist with other events and activities within the village and would welcome suggestions and additional members to help with the coffee mornings.
